Indiana weather
Indiana weather is very unpredictable. Crazy. Here in Indiana we say that if you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes! March 20th was the first official day of Spring. Now it's April 15th and it is 50 degrees. It was 75 degrees just last week. It is supposed to snow tomorrow and get down to 30 degrees. I'm confused. Even the plants are confused. The flowers are starting to bloom. The grass is turning green. And it's going to snow? Is this climate change or just typical Indiana weather? What do you think?

As African, I used to live with rain(8 months) and dry(4 months) seasons. Now I'm facing the crazy Indianapolis weather. Global warming is a fact.
ReplyDeleteYes, the weather has been changed this year if I compare with last year. Today is April 28,18. Even the sun is shining outside, but the temperature is still between 50 to 60 degrees. It is so strange. It might be not so hot for this summer. I think it’s the effect of the global warming. Some places get hotter and the other places get colder. It depends on the moving of the abnormal flow of hot air or cold air. For example, some places get the hottest or coldest that never happened before. It also has some intensified storms too like last year.
ReplyDeleteYes, I come from a country that has a savannah climate with dry winter. In a nutshell, Here in Indianapolis the weather is very deranged and I did not like how the atmospheric pressure change everytime.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Where are you from? Is this Chafik? I can see your picture as a Follower from this class, but your name for this reply is "unknown." You need to include your name when you register to be a follower of this blog.
DeleteYes I have noticed that when I came to Indiana. The weather in my country, Iraq is usually predictable becuase it is warm most of the times. There are only few regions in Iraq, specifically the North, is where it snows in the winter. Most of the other regions in winter have only rain.

Zainab, Your comments about weather in Iraq are interesting. The weather is mostly predictable there.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely indiana weather is unpredictable, in 24 hours you could see two seasons of the year. I arrived in Indiana 6 years ago and my friends tell me that this state has always had a crazy weather but I think that global warming or climate change is a fact. in my opinion we should reflect and think that we are doing individually to stop this or as maybe without knowing it we contribute to global warming. Small changes make big differences.
ReplyDeleteIn Africa more precisely in my country(Guinea), we have two seasons. They dry season and the rainy season. Throughout the dry season there is sun with a lot of heat and the during the rainy season it is raining with a little freshness. Rarely we get rain during the dry season and the rainy season also not of sun. For Indianapolis all weather mixes ,I can say that is another case.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how the weather is different all over the world. I always think it is just hot in Africa.
DeleteInteresting. You have two seasons, we have four. Maybe the weather is more predicable in Guinea because you only have two seasons instead of four.
ReplyDeleteSame thing in my country
ReplyDeleteI think that not only Indiana weather is unpredictable. As we know, the weather has been changing all over the world. Which means that the weather is getting worse. We need to be aware of this kind of climate change. They are more usual nowadays.
ReplyDeleteGood comment. Who is this?
